The Assessment of Neurological Development of the Infants with Prenatal COVID-19 Exposure

Objective: The effects of prenatal coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) exposure on the infantile neurological development are unknown. It has been considered that inflammatory, thrombotic, and vascular changes occurred in placentas taken from pregnant women diagnosed with COVID-19 inflammatory nature infection may lead to negative obstetric events. We aimed assess potential infant.
 Methods: present study included 2–12-month-old infants born positive real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test results for population patients under routine follow-up. examinations Denver II Developmental Screening Test (DDST II) were performed 41 aged 2–12 months exposure.
 Results: average gestational age was 38.7 ± 1.9 weeks, birth weight 3198 543 g. Eight had a history hospitalization neonatal intensive care unit. examination neuromotor 40 (96%) normal their group. Only one infant abnormal DDST result.
 Conclusion: findings suggest no impact infants. Long-term prospective studies larger sample sizes needed more comprehensive assessment
